News from Mount Tabor Ministries

Dear Friends,

Mount Tabor Ministries, Inc., a non-profit organization 501 (c) (3), needs volunteers for light office duties, social advocating committee, board membership, and pro-bono grant writing. One of our main goals is to construct schools and orphanages in Congo. With that focus in mind, Mount Tabor Ministries plans to collect needed donations to purchase three used school buses that will be sent to Congo to transport students to school and villagers to receive medical care. Our ambition is to raise $36,000.00 (Thirty Six Thousand Dollars) needed to buy the used school buses and ship them to Congo by September 1, 2011. Your assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

We are committed to establishing a safe, compassionate, educational and nurturing environment in order to promote personal independence and well-being for this often overlooked group.We are presently looking to purchase 1.9 acres of property in the South Charlotte corridor along Pineville/Matthews Road. We are also formulating plans for the building itself which would include a multipurpose room, nurses’ room, respite rooms, television viewing room, computer lab, full kitchen, separate baths, and offices.

Our goal is to raise at least $85,000 in the next 60 days, which represents 10% of the projected cost of Mount Tabor House. We are completely committed to this project and to providing this badly needed social service for our community.
